Mafia Iii Xboxone now only €24.99 (WAS €69.99 Save 64%) – @tesco.

In Mafia III for Xbox One, you play as Lincoln Clay during the soulful era of 1968, when Jimi Hendrix ruled the radio waves. Having returned to the city of New Bordeaux – a stylised reimagination of New Orleans for Mafia 3 – after serving in the Vietnam War, Lincoln gets caught up on the wrong side of the law. Running rackets for his foster father, the leader of the Black Mob, Lincoln quickly rises the ranks to become a gangster kingpin as he seeks revenge after the Italian Mafia betrayed him and his closest family.

Welcome to 1968
Mafia III’s world, the city of New Bordeaux, is a detailed and authentic recreation of New Orleans in the late 1960s. Its 10 different districts – the Bayou Fantom, Delray Hollow, Barclay Mills, Frisco Fields, Pointe Verdun, Tickfaw Harbour, Southdowns, River Row, Downtown and the French Ward -capture the soul and style of the times, from the city’s middle-class rich districts in the north to the skyscrapers of downtown, all the way to the foggy swamps of the Bayou Fantom in the south. Cruising around the Mafia 3 city with rock ‘n ‘ roll blasting out of the radio, it’s up to you to bring down the various rackets, brothels and trafficking operations that your mobster rivals have set up across New Bordeaux.

Rich, authentic storytelling
Mafia III’s story is a tale of betrayal, revenge and criminal uprising with protagonist Lincoln Clay playing the perfect anti-hero. He’s a likeable, loyal man who comes home from the Vietnam War to wage his own kind of conflict at home. Using his connections in the Black Mob, Lincoln recruits a small army including the protagonist from Mafia II, Vito Scaletta, as well as the head of the Haitian mob, Cassandra, and the leader of the Irish mob, Thomas Burke. Their mission? To take down the traitorous Sal Marcano and his Italian mobsters, who betrayed Lincoln and left him for dead.

Play Mafia 3 your way
As a violent revenge-fuelled adventure across an open world city, Xbox One Mafia III lets you play how you want to. Lincoln will commission gang members to aid him in his missions to take down rival mobster rackets, including the ability to call in a mobile arms dealer to purchase shotguns and tommy guns whenever you need to. Or you can play stealthily and use your melee abilities to silently murder your enemies. You’ll also have to make tough choices, deciding who to side with and who to betray.
